Quiet please

People are often energized in circle and can become very chatty; however, it’s important to pay attention to the guidance of the Priestess or whomever is directing the circle’s work, to the flow of energies shared by everyone, and to others when they are speaking, especially during libations. In other words, be polite, be respectful and focus.

Circle of Protection

The reality of a circle’s boundary has another ancient use: protection. It’s a remnant from the old ceremonial traditions that the circle is not just a container to keep magical energies in but a protective barrier to keep negative energies out. I don’t emphasize the need for protection against hostile or disruptive energies, but there are times when a circle can be a useful barrier to surround and protect you should you need it.

Just visualize and send out a sphere of protective light from the center of your belly, your power center. Visualize and feel the sphere of light surrounding you. Think of Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, traveling about in her bubble of sparkling energy. That may sound silly, but protective spheres are powerful and effective when you need them.
